    7. Objectives, learning outcomes and obtained knowledge Aim of the laboratories is to deepen the knowledge obtained at various other subjects and to obtain skills in using various computer programs in power system analysis.
    8. Synopsis

    Laboratory measurements include:

    1.     Measurement of power quality.

    2.     Measurement of grid-connected PV inverter.

    3.     Investigations on digital overcurrent protection in the case of distributed generation.

    4.     Electricity market simulator.

    5.     PLC.

    6.     Investigations on digital motor protection.

    7.     NInvestigations on frequency regulation with DIgSILENT Power Factory.

    8.     Investigations on electromagnetic transients of synchronous machines.

    9.     EMC measurements in a substation.

    10.  Investigations on power transmission with computer simulation.számítógépen.

    9. Method of instruction Laboratory measurements and computer simulations.
    10. Assessment

    During the semester:

    ·       Students should study the supplementary material of the measurements.

    ·   Students measure in groups or individually, according to a schedule. Only those students can participate in a measurement, who passed the short tests written at the beginning of the measurements.

    ·     A report has to be made and submitted, containing the findings of the measurement until the given deadline.

    ·  Students get part ratings based on their short tests, their contribution on the measurement and their report. The final grade is calculated as an average off all the part ratings.

    During the exam session:

    11. Recaps

Late submission of the measurement record can be approved by the end of the supplementary week, if supplementary fee has been paid. (TVSZ 16.§ (2))

The missed measurements (due to missing or failing of entry test) can be substituted during the semester or the supplementary week according to the following rules:

    ·         Two measurements can be substituted after scheduling it with the laboratory instructor.

    ·         If there is still a scheduled measuring group during the rest of the semester which has not taken the specified measurement, and the number of participated students allows to join, the measurement can be substituted only in that occasion.

    ·         If – after discussing with the lab instructor – it is not an option, the measurement can be substituted at the end of the semester, during the supplementary week.

    ·         In case of the missed measurements are substituted later, then the exam measurement is scheduled, the affected measurement cannot be allocated to the student on the exam measurement.

It is not possible to have any extra measurement for correcting lower sub-marks.
