Leslie Vadasz, a Hungarian born engineer will discuss his professional experiences. He was part of the founding management team of Intel Corporation in 1968, and played a leadership role in the development of semiconductor memory and microprocessor components and manufacturing technologies. His various roles included engineering management, business management, chief strategist, and Corporate venture capital. He was Executive Vice President of Intel Corporation, Member of its Board of Directors, and President of Intel Capital before his retirement in 2003.

Mr. Vadasz received his Engineering education at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, graduating in 1961. He participated in Harvard Business School’s AMP in 1990. His recognitions include Life Fellow of IEEE, Honorary Doctor Degrees from McGill University, and from Sonoma State University, California, USA. He was Member of a Presidential Advisory Commission, and was on a Board of the National Research Council in the US. Currently, Mr. Vadasz lives with his family – his wife, two sons and their families, including his two grandchildren – in the San Francisco Bay area of California.
